All those who submit an eligible submission will receive a commendation. Individuals submitting an idea with a mean score of 7/10 will receive a certificate of excellence. At least ten individuals will be invited to join an in-person designathon in Lagos, Nigeria in March 31 – April 2, 2023. Top ideas from the open call will win cash prizes of up to NGN500,000 and other cool prizes.
Submissions will be judged according to the four criteria that includes relevance, innovation, feasibility and equity. After screening for eligibility, all the eligible entries will be assessed by independent judges. Each submission will be reviewed by at least three independent individuals and final decisions will be made by the steering committee.
Relevance
This refers to whether your idea is relevant to mothers/daughters in the Nigerian context.
Innovation
This refers to how novel or innovative your solution is.
Feasibility
Feasibility refers to how easily and practically implementable your innovation would be in diverse Nigerian settings. Think about doing this in informal settlements or where you live now. Would it work there?
Equity
Does your idea empower girls and women? How can we inspire men to be allies?
